The Chelsea 489XLABX-A3XD is an 8-bolt Power Take-Off from the Chelsea 489 Series, designed to bolt directly to the 8-bolt opening on most manual transmissions including Eaton Fuller, Eaton Endurant, Mack, and Tremec. The one-piece cast iron housing eliminates the need for an adapter plate, reducing both installation time and potential leak paths. Shift type is wire/cable mechanical. Output is through a 1-1/4" round keyed shaft. The 489 Series delivers intermittent torque in the 201-300 lb-ft range and output power of 46-55 HP, carrying the same torque capacity as the Chelsea 442 Series. Tapered bearings provide greater load-bearing capability than needle-bearing designs.
