The Chelsea 489XQDAX-A5XD is an 8-bolt Power Take-Off unit from the Chelsea 489 Series, designed to mount directly to most manual transmissions including Eaton Fuller, Eaton Endurant, Mack, and Tremec without an adapter plate. The one-piece cast iron housing bolts to the 8-bolt transmission opening and delivers the same torque capacity as the 442 Series at 250 lb-ft. Wire/cable mechanical shift operation is standard. The 489 Series features tapered bearings in place of needle bearings for greater load capacity, and output options include Chelsea's 360-degree rotatable flange with a greaseable 1-1/4" round keyed output shaft. Internal parts are common to the 442 Series, simplifying service.
