The Chelsea 272ZPJWX-A5XD is a 272 Series 6-bolt hot shift Power Take-Off designed for medium-duty applications including aerial, construction equipment, towing and recovery, and water trucks. The 272 Series supports up to 300 lb-ft of intermittent torque and is available with hydraulic or pneumatic shift. This unit features an integral air control valve, rotatable flanges, and consolidates the roles previously filled by the 230, 231, 236, 238, 270, and 271 Series PTOs. The Chelsea 272 Series replaces and consolidates several earlier Chelsea medium-duty PTO families: the 230, 231, 236, 238, 270, and 271 Series. The 272 Series offers nine speed ratios, eighteen shift options, and both direct-mount and driveshaft output configurations. Direct-mount versions offer an optional Wet-Spline feature for extended PTO and pump shaft service life. Driveshaft output versions are available with the Smart-Start option, designed for high-torque start-up conditions.
