Built on the 281 Series platform, the 288 Series delivers a single, continuous duty torque rating of up to 390 lb-ft, making it a step up from the 287 Series it replaces. The cast iron housing carries ductile iron bearing caps that are 117% stronger than gray iron, and an o-ring sealing configuration between the housing and cap improves clamp load while reducing vibration-related damage. The round shaft output (1-1/4" with key) features a positive stop to prevent oil seal damage from driveline couplings. Nine speed ratios cover both low and high range applications, and Wet Spline Lubrication is available to extend pump shaft life 7 to 10 times over a standard spline. The hose is included.
