The Chelsea 288GMFJP-M5XD or 288GMFJPM5XD is a 10-bolt, constant mesh heavy-duty power take-off built on the 288 Series platform. The 288 Series delivers a single, continuous duty torque rating and features ductile iron bearing caps that are 117% stronger than gray iron. An O-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap reduces vibrational effects from modern engine designs and improves clamp load. The standard output shaft is a 1-1/4" round shaft with a positive-stop design that eliminates oil seal damage from driveline couplings. Rotatable cast-iron flanges reduce interference clearance issues. Nine speed ratios cover both low and high speed applications. The optional Wet Spline Lubrication configuration provides 7 to 10 times greater pump shaft life. The 288 Series replaces Chelsea's 287 Series PTO.
