The Chelsea 288 Series Power Take-Off, part number 288GMFJP-M8XD or 288GMFJPM8XD, is a heavy-duty 10-bolt constant mesh PTO built on the 281 Series platform. The 288 Series delivers a single, continuous duty torque rating of up to 390 lb-ft, made possible by wider gears and larger-capacity bearings. Ductile iron bearing caps are 117% stronger than gray iron, and an O-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap improves clamp load while reducing vibrational effects from modern engine designs. The round shaft output (1-inch, 1/4-inch key) includes a positive stop to prevent oil seal damage from shaft couplings. Nine speed ratios cover both low and high ranges. Wet Spline lubrication is available, extending pump shaft life by 7 to 10 times. A hydraulic hose is included. The 288 Series replaces the Chelsea 287 Series.
