The Chelsea 288 Series Power Take-Off (part 288GMFJP-M5XV or 288GMFJPM5XV) is a heavy-duty, 10-bolt constant mesh PTO built on the 281 Series platform. It delivers a single continuous duty torque rating of up to 390 lb-ft, made possible by wider gears and larger capacity bearings. Ductile iron bearing caps are 117% stronger than gray iron, and an O-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap reduces vibrational effects from modern engine designs. The standard output is a round shaft with 1-inch, 1/4-inch key, featuring a positive stop that eliminates oil seal damage from shaft couplings. Nine speed ratios cover both low and high speed applications. An optional Wet Spline Lubrication system extends pump shaft life by 7 to 10 times.
