The Chelsea 221 Series Power Take-Off, part number 221XCAHX-H3GA or 221XCAHXH3GA, is a 6-bolt mounted PTO built for low-speed, heavy-duty applications including dump trucks, tow and recovery, and aerial equipment. It uses a wire/cable mechanical shift and delivers 46-55 HP (31-40 kW) of output power, with an intermittent torque rating of 250 lb-ft (339 Nm) - check application pages for your specific torque rating. The 1-1/4" round output shaft accepts a key. Compatible transmissions include Allison, Eaton/Fuller, Volvo/Mack, Hino, and others. The cast iron housing is available in standard or low-profile configuration. Greaseable pump shafts reduce spline fretting and corrosion. Call us to confirm proper fit for your application.

Parts Manual: Chelsea 221 Series PTO Parts Manual (PDF) - exploded views, item numbers and the full parts breakdown for this series.

The 221 Series is built around a cast iron housing with tapered cone bearings on the output shaft for strong load-bearing capability under sustained heavy-duty cycles. Twenty-six output options and three internal speed ratios make this a versatile platform across aerial, vocational, municipal, and tow/recovery applications. The 360-degree rotatable flange and self-lube option - useful on transmissions that have difficulty delivering lubrication to the PTO - add to its adaptability. The low-profile housing variant is available where under-truck clearance is limited.
