The Chelsea 272FSLLX-B8RS or 272FSLLXB8RS is a 6-bolt hot shift power take-off from the Chelsea 272 Series, a medium-duty PTO designed to replace the 230, 231, 236, 238, 270, and 271 series in a single, consolidated unit. It shifts pneumatically or via PowerShift (pneumatic/hydraulic) and mounts to transmissions from Allison, Eaton/Fuller, Ford, Aisin, Volvo/Mack, and RAM, among others. The output is a 1-1/4" round shaft with a 5/16" key. Continuous torque capability across the 272 Series reaches 300 lb-ft (407 Nm); intermittent torque is rated at 201-300 lb-ft (401-500 Nm). The Chelsea 272 Series consolidates six previous PTO series - the 230, 231, 236, 238, 270, and 271 - into one platform. The series offers nine speed ratios and eighteen shift options. Driveshaft outputs include the Smart-Start feature for high-torque start-up conditions. The integral air control valve is included.
