The Chelsea 272HPLLP-B8XD or 272HPLLPB8XD is a 272 Series hot-shift power take-off built for medium-duty applications including aerial, construction, water truck, and towing and recovery work. It mounts via a 6-bolt pattern and uses a pneumatic or hydraulic (PowerShift) shift system with an integral air control valve. The 1-1/4" round output shaft accepts a 5/16" key for direct-drive or driveshaft-driven setups. The 272 Series carries a continuous torque rating up to 300 lb-ft (407 Nm) and an intermittent torque range of 201-300 lb-ft (401-500 Nm), with output power of 56+ HP (41-50 kW). Shaft power output is 29 HP at 500 RPM and 57 HP at 1,000 RPM. The 272 Series consolidates the earlier 230, 231, 236, 238, 270, and 271 Chelsea PTO lines.
