The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off 489GCAHX-A3RK or 489GCAHXA3RK is a mechanical-shift PTO designed for manual transmissions with an 8-bolt mounting aperture, including Eaton Fuller, Mack, and Tremec applications. The one-piece cast iron housing bolts directly to the 8-bolt transmission opening, eliminating the need for an adapter plate and reducing potential leak paths. The 489 Series uses tapered bearings rather than needle bearings for greater load-bearing capability. Output is via a 1-1/4-inch round keyed shaft. The series carries an intermittent torque rating of 201-300 lb-ft (301-400 Nm) and delivers up to 24 HP at 500 RPM or 48 HP at 1,000 RPM on shaft power.
