The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off, part number 489GHAHX-A5RE or 489GHAHXA5RE, mounts directly to 8-bolt manual transmission openings found on Eaton Fuller, Mack, Tremec, and Eaton Endurant gearboxes. The one-piece cast iron housing eliminates the adapter plate required by earlier designs, reducing both installation time and potential leak paths. The 489 Series uses tapered bearings rather than needle bearings for greater load capacity, and shares internal parts with the Chelsea 442 Series. Intermittent torque rating for the 489 Series runs 201-300 lb-ft (301-400 Nm), with wire/cable mechanical shift. Output is through a 1-1/4" round keyed shaft.
