The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off, part number 489GLAHX-V3RE or 489GLAHXV3RE, is built for manual transmissions with an 8-bolt PTO mounting aperture, fitting most Eaton Fuller, Mack, and Tremec gearboxes. The one-piece cast iron housing bolts directly to the transmission opening, eliminating the adapter plate and reducing potential leak paths. This unit uses tapered bearings rather than needle bearings for greater load-bearing capability. Shift type is wire/cable mechanical. The output shaft is a 1-1/4" round shaft with key. The 489 Series is rated for intermittent torque of 201 to 300 lb-ft and is suited for utility trucks, dump trucks, snow and ice removal equipment, and aerial and fire/rescue applications.
