The Chelsea 489KLAHX-A5XD or 489KLAHXA5XD is an 8-bolt Power Take-Off from the Chelsea 489 Series, designed to mount directly to most manual transmissions including Eaton Fuller, Mack, and Tremec without requiring an adapter plate. The one-piece cast iron housing bolts to the 8-bolt transmission opening and eliminates the adapter plate that adds a potential leak path on other designs. This unit uses wire/cable mechanical shift and delivers a 1-1/4" round keyed output shaft. Strong tapered bearings replace the needle bearings found in lighter-duty designs, improving load-bearing capability.
