The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off, part number 489XAITX-A3RB or 489XAITXA3RB, is an 8-bolt mechanical-shift PTO designed for most manual transmissions including Eaton Fuller, Mack, and Tremec. The integral one-piece cast iron housing bolts directly to the 8-bolt transmission opening, eliminating the need for an adapter plate and reducing potential leak paths. Output is via a 1-1/4" round keyed shaft. The 489 Series delivers intermittent torque in the 201-300 lb-ft range and shaft power of 24 HP at 500 RPM or 48 HP at 1000 RPM. Strong tapered bearings replace needle bearings for greater load-bearing capability. Typical applications include utility trucks, dump trucks, and snow and ice removal equipment.
