The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off 489XAITX-V5XD or 489XAITXV5XD is a wire/cable mechanical shift PTO built on an 8-bolt mounting configuration. The one-piece cast iron housing bolts directly to the 8-bolt transmission opening on most manual transmissions, including Eaton Fuller, Eaton Endurant, Mack, and Tremec, eliminating the need for an adapter plate and reducing potential leak paths. The 489 Series carries an intermittent torque rating of 201 to 300 lb-ft and delivers shaft power of 24 HP at 500 RPM or 48 HP at 1,000 RPM. Strong tapered bearings replace needle bearings for greater load-bearing capability. Internal parts are common to the Chelsea 442 Series, and the output shaft is a 1-1/4-inch round keyed design.
