The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off 489XCAHX-P5RA or 489XCAHXP5RA is an 8-bolt mechanical shift PTO designed to mount directly to most manual transmissions, including Eaton Fuller, Mack, and Tremec, without an adapter plate. The one-piece cast iron housing bolts to the standard 8-bolt transmission opening, reducing potential leak paths compared to adapter-plate designs. The 489 Series delivers intermittent torque in the 201-300 lb-ft range and uses tapered bearings rather than needle bearings for improved load-bearing capability.
