The Chelsea 489XCAHX-V5XQ or 489XCAHXV5XQ is an 8-bolt Power Take-Off from Chelsea's 489 Series, designed for manual transmissions including Eaton Fuller, Eaton Endurant, Mack, and Tremec. The integral 8-bolt cast iron housing bolts directly to the transmission opening without an adapter plate, eliminating a potential leak path that separate adapter-plate designs carry. This unit uses a wire/cable mechanical shift and delivers an intermittent torque rating of 201-300 lb-ft for the series. Output is through a 1-1/4" round keyed shaft. Tapered bearings replace needle bearings for greater load capacity. Typical applications include utility trucks, dump trucks, snow and ice removal equipment, and aerial and fire/rescue vehicles.
