The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off, part number 489XFAHX-S3XY or 489XFAHXS3XY, is a mechanical-shift PTO built for 8-bolt manual transmission openings. The one-piece cast iron housing bolts directly to the transmission without an adapter plate, eliminating a potential leak path. Compatible transmissions include Eaton Fuller, Eaton Endurant, Mack, and Tremec. The 489 Series carries the same 250 lb-ft torque capacity as the Chelsea 442 Series and uses tapered bearings rather than needle bearings for greater load capacity.
