The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off, part number 489XFAHX-V3RJ or 489XFAHXV3RJ, is an 8-bolt mechanical shift PTO designed for most manual transmissions including Eaton Fuller, Eaton Endurant, Mack, and Tremec. The one-piece cast iron housing bolts directly to the transmission's 8-bolt opening, eliminating the adapter plate that would otherwise introduce an additional potential leak path. The 489 Series carries an intermittent torque rating of 201-300 lb-ft and delivers shaft power of 24 HP at 500 RPM or 48 HP at 1,000 RPM. The output shaft is a 1-1/4 inch round shaft with key. Tapered bearings replace needle bearings for greater load capacity. Common applications include dump trucks, utility trucks, snow and ice removal equipment, and fire and rescue vehicles.
