The Chelsea 489XHDAX-V5XD or 489XHDAXV5XD is a Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off unit built for 8-bolt manual transmission openings. The one-piece cast iron housing bolts directly to the transmission without an adapter plate, cutting mounting time and reducing potential leak paths. The 489 Series delivers intermittent torque in the 201-300 lb-ft range and shaft power of 24 HP at 500 RPM or 48 HP at 1,000 RPM. This PTO uses tapered bearings rather than needle bearings for greater load-bearing capability, and the shift type is wire/cable mechanical.
