489XQDAX-A5AF Chelsea 489 Series PTO

The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off, part number 489XQDAX-A5AF or 489XQDAXA5AF, is a wire/cable mechanical-shift PTO built for 8-bolt manual transmission openings. The integral 8-bolt cast iron housing mounts directly to compatible transmissions -- Eaton Fuller, Mack, Tremec, and others -- without an adapter plate, reducing potential leak paths. Output is via a 1-1/4" round keyed shaft. The 489 Series carries an intermittent torque rating of 201-300 lb-ft and delivers up to 55 HP intermittently. The Chelsea 489 Series is suited for utility trucks, dump trucks, snow and ice removal equipment, and fire and rescue vehicles. The one-piece cast iron housing provides the same torque capacity as the 442 Series while eliminating the need for an adapter plate. Twenty-seven output options are available across the 489 Series, including a 360-degree rotatable flange with greaseable shaft to reduce pump shaft spline fretting and corrosion. Eleven internal speed ratios and shift configurations are available within the series.
