The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off, part number 489XRAHX-A5GZ or 489XRAHXA5GZ, is an 8-bolt mechanical shift PTO designed for most manual transmissions including Eaton Fuller, Mack, and Tremec. The one-piece cast iron housing bolts directly to the 8-bolt transmission opening, eliminating the need for an adapter plate and reducing potential leak paths. Shift is wire/cable mechanical. Output is through a round shaft with a 1-1/4-inch key. The 489 Series uses tapered bearings rather than needle bearings for greater load-bearing capability.
