489XLAHX-A5GZ Chelsea 489 Series PTO

The Chelsea 489XLAHX-A5GZ or 489XLAHXA5GZ is a 489 Series Power Take-Off unit designed for manual transmissions with an 8-bolt PTO mounting aperture, including Eaton Fuller, Mack, and Tremec gearboxes. The integral 8-bolt cast iron housing bolts directly to the transmission opening, eliminating the need for an adapter plate and reducing potential leak paths. The 489 Series delivers intermittent torque in the 201-300 lb-ft range and uses wire/cable mechanical shift actuation. Output is through a 1-1/4" round shaft with key. The Chelsea 489 Series PTO is suited for utility trucks, dump trucks and trailers, snow and ice removal equipment, and fire and rescue vehicles. Internal parts are common to the Chelsea 442 Series, simplifying service inventory. The kit-style design makes field servicing straightforward. Twenty-seven output options are available across the 489 Series, including a 360-degree rotatable flange with a greaseable shaft to reduce pump shaft spline fretting and corrosion. Eleven internal speed ratios and shift options are offered across the series.
