The one-piece cast iron housing bolts directly to the transmission, delivering the same 250 lb-ft torque capacity as the Chelsea 442 Series while cutting potential leak paths. Intermittent torque rating for the 489 Series runs 201 to 300 lb-ft (301 to 400 Nm). Output power reaches 46 to 55 HP (31 to 40 kW), with shift actuation via wire/cable mechanical connection.
