The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off, part number 489ZRAHX-V6XK or 489ZRAHXV6XK, is an 8-bolt PTO designed for most manual transmissions including Eaton Fuller, Eaton Endurant, Mack, and Tremec. The integral one-piece cast iron housing bolts directly to the 8-bolt transmission opening, eliminating the need for an adapter plate and reducing potential leak paths. Shift type is wire/cable mechanical. Output shaft is a 1-1/4" round shaft with key. The 489 Series shares internal parts with the Chelsea 442 Series and uses tapered bearings instead of needle bearings for greater load capacity. Intermittent torque rating for the series is 201-300 lb-ft. Applications include utility trucks, dump trucks, snow and ice removal equipment, and fire and rescue vehicles.
