It mounts via a 10-bolt pattern and positions the pump output at the rear of the transmission, tucking the housing and gear section in tightly to the transmission case for improved clearance between the PTO and frame rail. The one-piece main shaft eliminates the input splines between the PTO and the output extension, and a wet-spline output extends pump shaft life in demanding service. Continuous-duty torque reaches 670 lb-ft, with intermittent torque rated at 501+ lb-ft. Shaft power output is 64 HP at 500 RPM and 128 HP at 1,000 RPM. The Chelsea 890 Series is a single-unit PTO, not a PTO with a separate extension. The clutch is located at the rear of the PTO housing, allowing the gear section to sit close to the transmission for tighter packaging. The rear-mounted output flange positions the hydraulic pump away from the side of the transmission, providing clearance between the pump and the truck frame rail. An additional support bracket at the rear of the transmission is included. The 890 Series can be configured for transmissions equipped with or without a cooler, retarder, or both.
