The Chelsea 890 Series is a single-unit PTO, not a PTO with a separate extension. The one-piece main shaft eliminates the input splines that would otherwise exist between the PTO body and an output extension, reducing potential wear points. The clutch is located at the rear of the PTO housing, allowing the housing and gear section to mount tightly against the transmission while still positioning the pump output flange rearward for adequate clearance between the pump and the frame rail.
