The Chelsea 890 Series Power Take-Off, part number 890LHFJW-K5XK or 890LHFJWK5XK, is a hydraulic PowerShift PTO engineered for Allison 3000 MD and 4000 HD Series transmissions. The 890 Series mounts via a 10-bolt pattern and positions the pump output to the rear of the transmission, providing clearance that a standard side-mount PTO cannot. The main shaft is a single one-piece design, eliminating the input splines between the PTO and the output extension. Output is an SAE C ("XS") flange with Wet Spline lubrication to extend pump shaft life under demanding duty cycles. Continuous-duty torque reaches 670 lb-ft, with intermittent ratings above 501 lb-ft. Shaft power is rated at 64 HP at 500 RPM and 128 HP at 1000 RPM. Common applications include aerial trucks, fire and rescue, refuse trucks, and truck cranes. Call us to confirm proper fit for your specific transmission configuration.

Additional Information
The Chelsea 890 Series is a single integrated unit, not a PTO paired with a bolt-on extension. Its clutch is located at the rear of the PTO housing, allowing the gear section to sit tightly against the transmission for maximum clearance between the unit and the frame rail. An additional rear bracket supports the assembly at the back of the transmission. The 890 Series can be ordered for transmissions equipped with or without a cooler, a retarder, or both. Typical service applications include aerial work platforms, fire and rescue pumpers, refuse trucks, and truck cranes where pump space is limited and continuous high torque output is required.Parts Manual: Chelsea 890 Series PTO Parts Manual (PDF) — exploded views, item numbers and the full parts breakdown for this series.
