The Chelsea 890 Series is a single-unit PTO - the main shaft is one piece, eliminating the input splines that would otherwise exist between a PTO body and a separate output extension. The clutch is located at the rear of the PTO housing, allowing the gear section to tuck tightly against the transmission and maximize available clearance between the PTO and the frame rail. Though it mounts like a standard side-mounted PTO, the 890 Series also uses an additional support bracket at the rear of the transmission. The 890 Series can be configured for transmissions equipped with a cooler, a retarder, both, or neither.
