The Chelsea 890 Series is a single-unit PTO, not a PTO with a bolt-on extension. Its one-piece main shaft eliminates input splines between the PTO and output extension, and the clutch is located at the rear of the housing so the gear section tucks tightly to the transmission side. The result is improved pump clearance compared to conventional side-mounted PTOs. An additional bracket at the rear of the transmission provides supplemental support. The 890 Series accommodates Allison transmissions configured with or without a cooler, a retarder, or both.
