The Chelsea 890 Series Power Take-Off, part number 890XAFJW-D5XY or 890XAFJWD5XY, is a hydraulic hot-shift PTO engineered for Allison 3000 MD and 4000 HD Series transmissions. It uses a 10-bolt mounting configuration and positions the pump output flange at the rear of the transmission, tucking the housing tightly against the gearbox to clear the frame rail. The SAE C output shaft uses Wet Spline Technology to extend spline life under demanding duty cycles. A one-piece main shaft eliminates the input splines found between a standard PTO and a bolt-on extension, and the clutch is located at the rear of the housing to allow the gear section to sit flush against the transmission. Continuous-duty torque is rated up to 670 ft-lb, with intermittent torque exceeding 501 ft-lb. Shaft power reaches 64 HP at 500 RPM and 128 HP at 1,000 RPM. Common applications include aerial trucks, fire and rescue apparatus, refuse trucks, and truck cranes. Call us to confirm proper fit for your application.
