The Chelsea 912AHAD-AXXHC or 912AHADAXXHC is a 912 Series Split Shaft Power Take-Off gear box designed for Class 7 and 8 trucks equipped with automatic transmissions. Mounted between the transmission and rear axle, it drives auxiliary equipment via a driveline-driven gear box. The 912 Series features three 8-bolt PTO openings, accepting a wide range of 6-bolt, 8-bolt, PowerShift, and reversible Chelsea PTOs. Input and output connections include SPL-170, SPL-250, 1610, 1710, and 1810 Series flange options, as well as a no-flange configuration. Output is through a 2-3/4 inch 10-tooth spline. Air shift engagement, intermittent torque ratings above 501 lb-ft, and output power above 56 HP make this unit suited for pumper/cleaner, fire and rescue, and tire service vehicle applications. Additional Information
The 912 Series can be mounted in reverse, allowing the vehicle to be creep-driven back through the split shaft unit. This makes it a practical solution for rear-of-vehicle driven equipment layouts and applications requiring more than one piece of simultaneously driven auxiliary equipment. Typical markets include oil and gas, fire and rescue, pumper/cleaner trucks, and tire service vehicles. Parker Chelsea publishes a dedicated owner's manual (912 Series Owner's Manual) and parts list (HY25-2912-M1_US) for this series, available through Parker's documentation resources.Parts Manual: Chelsea 912 Series PTO Parts Manual (PDF) — exploded views, item numbers and the full parts breakdown for this series.
