The Chelsea 272 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 272LBHVP-B3XD or 272LBHVPB3XD, is a 6-bolt hot shift PTO built for medium-duty truck applications including aerial, construction equipment, water trucks, and towing and recovery work. The 272 Series consolidates several earlier Chelsea PTO lines into one platform with nine speed ratios and eighteen shift options. This series supports intermittent torque ratings from 201 to 300 lb-ft (401 to 500 Nm) and output power of 56-plus HP. Shift is pneumatic or hydraulic, with an integral air control valve included. Direct-mount output configurations offer optional Wet-Spline technology for longer PTO and pump shaft service life. Driveshaft output configurations include the Smart-Start option, designed for high-torque start-up conditions. Flanges are rotatable for flexible installation.
