The Chelsea 272 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 272NBHVP-B5XD or 272NBHVPB5XD, is a 6-bolt hot shift PTO designed for medium-duty applications across towing and recovery, aerial, construction, and water truck markets. It uses a 1-1/4" round output shaft with a 5/16" key and accepts either pneumatic or PowerShift (pneumatic/hydraulic) actuation, with an integral air control valve included. Continuous torque capability reaches 300 lb-ft (407 Nm); intermittent torque is rated at 201-300 lb-ft (401-500 Nm). Output power exceeds 56 HP (41-50 kW), with shaft power of 29 HP at 500 RPM and 57 HP at 1,000 RPM.
