The Chelsea 272XGAJX-13XD or 272XGAJX13XD is a 272 Series hot shift power take-off assembly mounted on a 6-bolt pattern. The 272 Series consolidates earlier Chelsea medium-duty PTO lines into one versatile platform, supporting intermittent torque ratings from 201 to 300 lb-ft (401-500 Nm) and output power of 56 or more HP. Shift options include pneumatic (air) and hydraulic, with an integral air control valve included. Output shaft configurations cover round shaft with a 1-inch, 1/4-inch key or a 1-1/4 inch, 5/16-inch key. The series also supports the optional Wet-Spline design for extended PTO and pump shaft service life, and a Smart-Start option for high-torque engagement conditions. Common applications for this series include aerial work platforms, towing and recovery equipment, construction equipment, and water trucks.
