The Chelsea 281GBFJP-B5XD or 281GBFJPB5XD is a 281 Series Power Take-Off Assembly designed for automatic transmissions with a 10-bolt aperture, including Allison transmissions. The 281 Series uses hydraulic PowerShift (hot-shift) engagement, allowing shifting under load without interrupting the transmission. The ductile iron bearing cap is 117% stronger than gray iron, and the clutch pack features steel discs 80% thicker than the previous 280 Series design to resist premature wear. An o-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap improves clamp load and reduces the effects of vibration from modern engine designs. Rated for continuous operation, the series carries a continuous torque rating of 390 lb-ft (529 Nm).
