281GBFJP-S3XV Chelsea PTO Assembly

The Chelsea 281 Series Power Take-Off, part number 281GBFJP-S3XV or 281GBFJPS3XV, is a hydraulically shifted hot-shift PTO engineered for automatic transmissions with a 10-bolt aperture, including Allison and Caterpillar applications. An evolution of the 280 Series, the 281 features a ductile iron bearing cap rated 117% stronger than gray iron and an o-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap to improve clamp load and resist vibrational effects from modern engine designs. The clutch pack uses steel discs that are 80% thicker to reduce premature tooth wear. Nine speed ratios cover both low and high-speed applications, and the wet spline lubrication option extends shaft life by 7 to 10 times.
