The Chelsea 281 Series Power Take-Off, part number 281GCFJP-D3RK or 281GCFJPD3RK, is a hydraulically shifted (PowerShift) hot-shift PTO built for automatic transmissions with a 10-bolt aperture, including Allison and Caterpillar applications. It mounts in continuous-duty service and offers nine speed ratios spanning low and high ranges. The ductile iron bearing cap is 117% stronger than the gray iron cap it replaces, and an O-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap improves clamp load while reducing vibrational effects. The clutch pack uses steel discs that are 80% thicker than the previous generation, resisting premature tooth wear. Electronic Overspeed Control (EOC) is included to protect driven equipment.
