The Chelsea 281 Series Power Take-Off, part number 281GCFJP-D8AC or 281GCFJPD8AC, is a hydraulically shifted hot-shift PTO engineered for automatic transmissions with a 10-bolt aperture, commonly paired with Allison and Caterpillar transmissions. It is an evolution of the 280 Series, with a ductile iron bearing cap rated 117% stronger than gray iron and an o-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap to improve clamp load under engine vibration. The clutch pack features 80% thicker steel discs to resist premature tooth wear. Nine speed ratios cover both low and high ranges, and the wet spline lubrication option extends shaft life 7 to 10 times over standard configurations.
