281GMFJP-D8AC Chelsea PTO Assembly

The Chelsea 281 Series Power Take-Off, part number 281GMFJP-D8AC or 281GMFJPD8AC, is a hydraulically shifted hot-shift PTO designed for automatic transmissions with a 10-bolt aperture, including Allison and Caterpillar transmissions. Built as a direct evolution of the 280 Series, the 281 Series raises the bar with a ductile iron bearing cap rated 117% stronger than gray iron, an 80% thicker steel clutch pack to resist premature tooth wear, and an O-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap to improve clamp load and resist vibrational damage. Nine speed ratios span low and high ranges, and rotatable cast-iron flanges reduce interference clearance issues. The continuous torque rating reaches 390 lb-ft (529 Nm), with a wet spline lubrication option that extends shaft life 7 to 10 times.
