The Chelsea 281GCFJP-H5RF or 281GCFJPH5RF is a 281 Series hydraulic PowerShift (hot shift) power take-off built for 10-bolt automatic transmissions, including Allison and Caterpillar units. The 281 Series is rated at 390 lb-ft continuous torque and delivers 74 HP at 1,000 RPM. Nine available speed ratios cover both low and high-speed applications. A ductile iron bearing cap is 117% stronger than gray iron, and the clutch pack uses steel discs that are 80% thicker than the previous-generation 280 Series design. The o-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap improves clamp load and reduces vibrational effects. Rotatable cast-iron flanges reduce pump interference, and a positive stop for driveline outputs eliminates oil seal damage. The optional Wet Spline Lubrication provides 7 to 10 times greater shaft life. SmartStart reduces shock load at start-up, and Electronic Overspeed Control (EOC) protects driven equipment.
