The Chelsea 281 Series Power Take-Off, part number 281GCFJP-N5RZ or 281GCFJPN5RZ, is a hydraulically shifted hot-shift PTO engineered for automatic transmissions with a 10-bolt aperture, including Allison and Caterpillar applications. It mounts via a 10-bolt pattern and supports continuous operation with a series continuous torque rating of 390 lb-ft. The 281 Series advances on the 280 Series platform with a ductile iron bearing cap rated 117% stronger than gray iron, an o-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap, and an enhanced clutch pack featuring steel discs 80% thicker than the previous design. Nine speed ratios cover both low and high ranges. A wet spline lubrication option extends shaft life 7 to 10 times compared to standard configurations.
