281GCFJW-N5RY Chelsea PTO Assembly

The Chelsea 281 Series Power Take-Off, part number 281GCFJW-N5RY or 281GCFJWN5RY, is a hydraulically shifted hot-shift PTO designed for automatic transmissions with a 10-bolt aperture, commonly found on Allison transmissions. It is an evolution of the Chelsea 280 Series, incorporating a ductile iron bearing cap rated 117% stronger than gray iron, an O-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap for improved clamp load, and an enhanced clutch pack with steel discs 80% thicker than the previous design. The 281 Series offers nine speed ratios covering low and high ranges, a Wet Spline Lubrication option for 7 to 10 times greater shaft life, and Electronic Overspeed Control (EOC) to protect driven equipment.
