The Chelsea 281 Series Power Take-Off, part number 281GCFJW-D8RK or 281GCFJWD8RK, is a hydraulically shifted (PowerShift) hot-shift PTO built for automatic transmissions with a 10-bolt aperture, commonly used on Allison transmissions. An evolution of the proven 280 Series, the 281 adds a ductile iron bearing cap rated 117% stronger than gray iron, an O-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap, and an 80% thicker clutch pack to better resist tooth wear under today's engine vibration profiles. Nine speed ratios cover low and high ranges, and the Wet Spline lubrication option delivers 7 to 10 times greater shaft life compared to dry-spline configurations.
