The Chelsea 281 Series Power Take-Off, part number 281GCKVP-B5XD or 281GCKVPB5XD, is a hydraulically shifted hot-shift PTO engineered for automatic transmissions with a 10-bolt aperture, including Allison and Caterpillar models. It evolved directly from the proven Chelsea 280 Series, with a ductile iron bearing cap rated 117% stronger than gray iron, an enhanced clutch pack with 80% thicker steel discs, and an O-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap to improve clamp load and resist vibrational damage. Nine speed ratios cover both low and high ranges. Rotatable cast iron flanges reduce pump clearance interference. The series carries a single, continuous-duty torque rating.
