281GCKVP-B5XV Chelsea PTO Assembly

The Chelsea 281 Series Power Take-Off, part number 281GCKVP-B5XV or 281GCKVPB5XV, is a hydraulically shifted (PowerShift) hot-shift PTO engineered for automatic transmissions with a 10-bolt aperture, including Allison and Caterpillar applications. It carries a single, continuous duty torque rating and delivers nine speed ratios covering both low and high ranges. The ductile iron bearing cap is 117% stronger than gray iron, and the clutch pack features steel discs 80% thicker than the previous 281 Series generation to resist premature wear. An o-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap reduces vibrational effects and improves clamp load. Rotatable cast-iron flanges reduce interference fit issues, while the Positive Stop design on driveline outputs prevents oil seal damage from coupling.
