The Chelsea 281 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 281GDFJP-B5BD or 281GDFJPB5BD, is a hydraulically shifted hot-shift PTO designed for automatic transmissions with a 10-bolt aperture, including Allison and Caterpillar applications. The 281 Series is an evolution of the top-selling 280 Series, carrying a single continuous duty torque rating of 390 lb-ft and nine available speed ratios spanning low and high ranges. A ductile iron bearing cap delivers 117% greater strength than gray iron, and an O-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap improves clamp load and resists vibrational effects from modern engine designs. Rotatable cast-iron flanges reduce interference clearance issues. Available with Wet Spline Lubrication for up to 7-10 times greater shaft life.
