281GDFJP-K5SD Chelsea PTO Assembly

The Chelsea 281GDFJP-K5SD or 281GDFJPK5SD is a 281 Series hydraulically shifted hot-shift power take-off built for automatic transmissions with a 10-bolt aperture, including Allison applications. It shifts under load without interrupting transmission operation. The ductile iron bearing cap is 117% stronger than the gray iron cap used in the predecessor 280 Series, and the clutch pack features steel discs that are 80% thicker to resist premature tooth wear. An O-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap reduces vibration effects and improves clamp load. The 281 Series offers nine speed ratios covering both low and high ranges, with the wet spline lubrication option extending shaft life by 7 to 10 times. Electronic Overspeed Control (EOC) protects driven equipment, and SmartStart reduces shock load at engagement for select applications.
