281GGFJP-B8SV Chelsea PTO Assembly

The Chelsea 281 Series Power Take-Off, part number 281GGFJP-B8SV or 281GGFJPB8SV, is a hydraulically shifted (PowerShift) hot-shift PTO engineered for automatic transmissions with a 10-bolt aperture, including Allison and Caterpillar applications. It is an evolution of the proven 280 Series, incorporating a ductile iron bearing cap rated 117% stronger than gray iron and an enhanced clutch pack with steel discs 80% thicker than the previous design. An O-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap improves clamp load and reduces vibration-related damage. Nine speed ratios cover both low and high-speed demands. Rotatable cast-iron flanges reduce pump clearance interference, and a Positive Stop on driveline outputs eliminates oil seal damage from coupling contact. The Wet Spline Lubrication option extends shaft life by 7 to 10 times. SmartStart reduces shock load at start-up, and Electronic Overspeed Control (EOC) protects driven equipment.
